Concept for Ridderkerk township: “How can we inspire youngsters to do voluntary work?” – Second place. "

I got introduced in to conceptual thinking at school and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to take part in concept competitions in my free time.

The assignment was to come up with an idea to attract more volunteers in the age of 20 to 30. My solution was to work with influencers like YouTubers who make videos in which they do voluntary work. These people can influence young adults.

Concept for Ministry of Justice and Security: “How can we keep shelter for single, under aged refugees safe and habitable?” – Third place.

Ministry of Justice and Security wanted an answer to the problem of refugees temporarily living in the Netherlands causing trouble. My idea was to make their time in the Netherlands more fun and meaningful by organizing competitions in different categories in which they can develop and show their talents. This would make them aware of their own future and the possibilities they might have.

The jury said that the combination of a relatively young student (17 years), with catchy ideas to mainly let the youngsters discover their talent and give them a platform, made the idea innovative.

Concept “How can we stimulate youngsters in the age of 12 – 15 to make use of the cultural courses on offer?”

Youth theaters, Popunie and SEOP in the province of South Holland wanted a plan to inspire and motivate youngsters to make use of their cultural courses.

My idea was to let these cultural centers collaborate with secondary schools. Employees from the youth theaters, Popunie and SEOP can give workshops to students at school and inspire them to sign up for the courses they offer.
